my grandparents took us to a dude ranch for christmas. did you know that there are more cattle in florida than in any other state?! that put things into perspective for me because when you think of dude ranch, you think texas or montana....or something. i did. anyways, a grand time was had.

we stayed in a cabin.

we went to a rodeo. i had never been to one before. MAN was it AMERICAN!

we went on an airboat ride on the kissimmee river, which was my favorite thing.

gators EVERYWHERE! baby ones too. and huge turtles on logs. and gigantic white herons.

we went to the petting zoo. goats running amok.

they were all pregnant. an employee told us, "they are like rats".

chuckens.

HAHA.

and we went on a christmas eve hayride, sang christmas carols, then went to a barbecue after.

WA.

I miss Washington. Every summer my family goes on a trip. This year we went to Seattle. I miss being away from everything and becoming one with madre nature. And it was so gorg and filled with fun times.

We:

Kayaked in the ocean and camped on an island.

Explored Olympic National Park.

Took a long walk on the beach.

Entered the land of Twilight.

Peaced out Mt. St. Helens.

And walked about Seattle.

"Mom, do you think a raccoon will attack me in my tent if I keep chapstick in there?"
"That....is a risk you will have to take."

"If you see a bear, yell out a warning like, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA."

"Why is it okay for the elk to pick the leaves off of bushes but when I do it I get in trouble?"
"Because the elk..are democrat. And you are not."

Good company.

Oh. And did I mention that my cat had her kittens THE DAY AFTER we left?? Absolutely maddening. Oooooh are they cute.

so much goodness this week

WE GOT A NEW KITTY CAT. My mom has been watching too much Cats 101 lately. Heh heh heh. Basically she started wanting a cuddly lap cat because Gary is a psychotic, rowdy crazy that just wants to play all the time. Completely spontaneous, she went to the animal shelter and got this little bundle of joy. She is the sweetest most cuddly cat ever. She even purrs and meows like a normal cat. Imagine that! I LOVE HER. So so so much. Her name is Pippi.

(of course, Gary is still my one true love.)

On Friday it was Chris's birthday. The big 2-0!! Crazy! We finally went to Sammy's Cafe in Provo for his birthday. Dang it was good. And we went shopping and mini golfing and all kinds of neat things. It was just a really fun day.

We also longboarded Provo Canyon this week.

And we celebrated Meggie's birthday!

And now we are having a nice relaxing Father's Day. Happy Day, Pops!

What a good week.

mutti

happy mother's day

I love mine.

Today my mom got back from a week long trip to Australia. She told us that on the airplane she was sitting in the exit row and putting her feet up on a box thing that she wasn't supposed to put her feet on. Then she fell asleep. A flight attendant came and started poking her in the shoulder to wake her up and make her get her feet off. Then, when she woke up, she screamed really loud. I love all of these hilarious crazy things that she does. And doesn't even care what other people think.

day 11: my bra. the sibling kind.

I have been excited to do this day.
I only have one sib. He is my brother Wyatt. If you say his name and stick out your tongue on the "wy" part and just hold it for a while before the "att", you will have a feel for how I say his name every time.
We are best frans. He is the perfect little bra.
He loves my clothes and takes after my music tastes. He loves Muse, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, The Fall of Troy, Sondre Lerche, Shiny Toy Guns, Crystal Castles, etc etc. It makes me so proud and makes me feel cool. And he's showed me Miike Snow and Islands, which are favorites.
He is an AAAAAAMAZING artist. Drawing, paint, graphic design, music. He has incredible things going for him. He could EXCEL! in anything art-related.
He has the best sense of humor. We think the EXACT same things are funny. Even though they are so dumb. It makes me glad that SOMEONE will laugh at them with me. No matter what. And whenever I see a youtube video or hear something funny, he is the first person I tell.
His best friend is a Russian and they are so mischievous. So awesome.
Fun story. One time he threw a book at me and it hit me in the eye and sliced it up 3 days before picture day. Such a fond memory now.
And one time. He got hit by a car. Maybe that story will be for another day.
He is the most laid-back person you will ever meet. He never gets mad at stuff and when he does he completely hides it.
I'm positive he would do anything for me.
The best parts of my childhood were with him. We LOVED beanie babies, pokemon, gameboys, legos, you name it. We used to go to my neighbor's house every day and take care of their kittens. And we played a game where we would run around the entire neighborhood with fake guns and kill each other for hours. We had so much fun. It was weird growing up and watching how I wasn't able to beat him up anymore as he started towering over me and growing huge muscles.
He is just the best. The coolest. Such a nice kid and good brother and friend. Love him. Oh and one more thing. He has quite the beard. Here are photoes of us doing neat things.

Football.

Cruisin'.

Cruisin' again.

Skiin'.

MGMTin'.

Hangin' looze. This was today.

Oh, and he's sixteen. You don't believe me do you.

Pop:
1. Insanely good handyman. Carpenter, electrician, builds entire basements from scratch (like ours). So convenient and awesome to have around.
2. Loves classic rock and listening to music really loud.
3. Is always cheerful and makes the mood light.
4. Rides his bike everywhere and can outburp ANYONE.
5. Has the best loudest laugh.

Mam:
1. Graphic designer. Thee most talented I have ever seen. Ever.
2. Some of my favorite days have been going shopping & then going to lunch. I LOVE mom dates. Plus, she's way fun to shop with and has fabulous style.
3. Tells really cheesey jokes that you just have to laugh at. You can't help it.
4. Can cook ANYTHING, and it is SO GOOD.
5. Has been through so much and is the strongest person I know.

They are like kids sometimes together. I love that they are so fun and spontaneous. I hope I can be like them someday and I admire both of them to no end. Lurve lurve lurve you guys!!!

thanksguving

My grandparents came for Thanksgiving. They live in Florida so I get to see them maybe once a year. It was wonderful. And Chris got to meet them before he leaves for Russia. I am thankful for that.
So many thanks. Too long of a list. This year, more than ever, I am thankful for things. Every type of things. It has been a fantastic year.

I am having a writer's block. A sort of literal one. I haven't been able to write about anything for about a week now. There is just nothing coming to me. So here is the hat my gran got me for early Christmas.

I like it because you can't tell what is my hair and what isn't. Plus, the fur catches all the snow, and it has pom poms.

happy padre's day

Happy Padre's Day yeeesterday to both of my awesome dads. One is in New Jersey right now. One is in heaven right now. I love them both so much. I wish they weren't gone.

So what did I do all day? Hung out with my other family. The Busby's. I love them. Mostly consisted of me telling Chris ridiculous things in Spanish to tell Andrew cause Chris didn't know what he was saying, and singing "In December drinking horchaaaaaAAAaaaata" So fun.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a wonder filled faja's day and did something awesome with their dad. Dads rock.

a day of delights.

Today is Mother's Day. I love you mom!

Also, twenty months ago today, this really nice boy asked me to be his girlfriend. I sure do love him.

Hahahaha the long hair. I miss it sometimes. And mine too :)

He is the absolute greatest. Thank you Crusby, for 20 fantastic months!
