Marry this crazy person

Live in Oregon somewhere near the coast

Be one of these with animals always surrounding me all over like this

Just any profession where I get to see/work with animals, really. Anything. I'd also love to do something in fashion.
I dream of being rich enough to go to New York and SHOP the days away. And owning a wardrobe filled with JCrew, Anthropologie and UO.
I dream of reading piles and piles and piles of books.
I also dream of meeting Sondre Lerche and JK Rowling and the men of MGMT.
I also want bout 3 (ginger) children, and a menagerie. I want cats. Dogs. Bunnies. Goats. Birds. Fish. A giant aquarium. So many freakin' fish cause I freakin' love them. And rodents. All of it. And I want, I NEED, CHUCKENS, WANDERING ALL OVER MY FRONT YARD.
And I wanna travel the world with Chris doing good things. And to grow old with my 11 best friends and rock on our porches til dusk discussing the wonders of life.
I want to die shortly after my hubz does, or vise versa. And to die satisfied. And go to heav. I'm excited.
It all BETTER come true.

day 5: love def.

The question sought out by all of humanity that isn't extremely socially handicapped or hormone deficit. What is love? I think it is crazy. Just crazy. When you are in love you feel crazy. About everything. In the best fathomable way. Your insides are little squiggly worms. You can feel your carotid arteries thumping on your throat under the pressure of your crazy heart beating. Your breathing feels short when you imagine them cause of the giddiness. You want to buy them everything. And tie their shoelaces and button up their coat for them. You swell at the thought of their success and sink when they are upset. The minute you get into a fight you regret everything you said and only want things to be better again. The smell of their car makes you feel calm and their kisses make you explode inside. Every time. You ask them how they are because you genuinely want to know and their happiness is vitally important. There's no one else in the world except for the two of you. And you smile always. And when you aren't together, you feel like something is missing. There is a red light flashing in the back of your mind always reminding you of their gone-ness.

thanksguving

My grandparents came for Thanksgiving. They live in Florida so I get to see them maybe once a year. It was wonderful. And Chris got to meet them before he leaves for Russia. I am thankful for that.
So many thanks. Too long of a list. This year, more than ever, I am thankful for things. Every type of things. It has been a fantastic year.

I am having a writer's block. A sort of literal one. I haven't been able to write about anything for about a week now. There is just nothing coming to me. So here is the hat my gran got me for early Christmas.

I like it because you can't tell what is my hair and what isn't. Plus, the fur catches all the snow, and it has pom poms.

so sick of doing homework

So I took a break and looked at this for a while. I want to spend forever on that blog. I LOVE ANIMALS SO DERN MUCH! They are the best things on the earth. I just want to watch them and cuddle them and learn about them and be friends with them and help them all the time. They are so innocent and happy. They are so smart. And really funny. And incredibly beautiful. They are the GREATEST.

Yesterday night Gary was sleeping on my bed and yawned and I saw blood in his mouth. So I looked in there and there is a HUGE gash on his tongue. It is the most painful thing to look at. It just gives me the chills thinking about how it happened and how bad it must hurt. It looks like a hook caught it and ripped a huge chunk out. It is all purple and red and white; it is really the worst. I would take a picture and show but it would probably make you throw up. My poor kitty. Bleh.

lalalalala.

Last night I stayed up to an unthinkably late hour (midnight) waiting to register for my spring classes, and when the time finally came, I spent a half hour trying to log on to the clogged website, and when I finally got in, there was a flipping HOLD on my registration so I couldn't sign up for anything. After dragging my body out of bed and not bothering to shower this morning, I talked to my crazy counselor and she told me it wasn't her fault; Universal Studies had put the hold on cause I hadn't picked a major, but I actually did, it was my dumb counselor's fault for not changing my major in time, and then everyone else's fault for telling me nothing about any silly hold or anything else ever. So all the classes I need are taken up, and I am on all sorts of waiting lists, and I am stuck with a highly un-recommended chemistry teacher whose class is at 2 in the afternoon, which throws off my entire work schedule. And I have to go to work today, and I am super behind on homework, and Halloween is over. What a nasty ball of gross nasty stress. BUT, despite all of that, I am in an insanely good, blissful, happy mood today. I am inspired. I have lots of really neat people in my life. I have a new Vampire Weekend CD and Harry Potter midnight tucketts. I'm going to see Circa Survive in 11 days. I have this ginger boy that feels bad for me when my life gets all fuddled and makes me feel brand new and all giddy and is willing to do anything for the sake of my happiness. I've got a kitty that likes to cuddle on my pillow and goggie that wags his tail any time I look at him like I'm the best thing ever. I have a fun, perfect job. I've got wonderful parents and the best brother. And everything is going to work out. I just know it.

that beep.

My mom brought me back ankle toe socks from China. I woke up late and didn't get to shower today which meant 20 more minutes of glorious sleep. The rain woke me up last night with it's merciless hammerings about my window. My dad is painting the living room and laid plastic on the floor so the carpet wouldn't get dripped on and he sent me a picture of Gary hiding beneath the plastic because it is loud and crinkly and he loves playing in it and thought no one could see him in there. Evan Kirby is Phantom of the Opera. Edward's heated seats are heaven sent in the morning. While driving mom home from the airport this silly blue car in front of me tried to merge into the left lane but there were too many cars comin so we almost came to a complete stop on the freeway, and then this big white truck honked forever at the blue car so it jolted over and started driving on the weeds and grass on the side of the road and I laughed for five minutes straight. Circa Survive tuckets came in the mail. Another letter from Josh Lyman came in the mail. Delectable green tea Kit Kats. Random supernice texts from Rachel, whom I love and miss always. Lion head rings at DownEast that I super want. Gorgeous gorgeous blue and purple and pink and orange and white mountains. Serendipitous Dr. Pepper chapstick. Avoiding the creep in Biology successfully. Gary curled up on my bed and squinty when I turn the light on. Full moon. The Chamber of Secrets. Heather likes leather tetherballs. Ginger. Warm hoodies from the dryer that say "Keep Breathing, Keep Loving" and it's so appropriate.

huzzah.

One fine day, I was awarded this beaute.

It's becoming a passer arounder like a piece of chain mail. But who cares? I am quite pleased with it. I was pleasantly surprised when Miss Megan Abel passed it to me. She is fabulous. I like her. We dated once.

Anyways,

Ze Rules:
1: Send a warm cyber hug to whoever awarded you with a nice shout out.
2: Flatter yourself and tell the entire world that you have been awarded, followed by seven unique things about you.
3: Pass along this heart-warmer of an award to your favorite blogs.

Alrighty folks. Here are them seven things.

Uno. I can say the alphabet backwards super fast. I had a race with someone once. I won. In under 5 seconds.

Dos. I loathe bad grammar. Misspellings. Unnecessary quotations and capitalization. Unneeded apostrophe s's. It drives me NUTS!

Tres. Every song I sing ends up sounding like Creed.

Quatro. The only bone I've ever broken in my body was my little toe, and I've never been stung by a bee, and I'm not allergic to anything, and I've never been in a car wreck, and I've never had surgery. Someday something horrible is going to happen to me, I just know it.

Cinco. My room is a 12-year-old's. It has purple dragonflies all around the walls, and two pictures of cats hanging in it. I'm trying to renovate. When I have my own apartment, it will be vintage heaven. Everything will be from Anthropologie and antique stores.

Seis. Cameo jewelry and freckles and red hair and cats are my absolute favorite.

Siete
. I don't know about politics. Or Calculus. Or Physics. But I do know everything there is to know about Harry Potter, and Pokemon (the originals), and I know all the 50 states and capitols.

So. Here are the blogs that I look at every day. And wish they would post every half hour because I always want more.

Lindsey. When Change Is JUST What You Needed.
Meggie. A Twisted Fairytale.
Dobe and Curr. Our Daily Dose.
Evan and Diana. In The Shack.
Kristen. ETC.
Mandi. Dear World It's Me, Mandi.

You know, if you want a list, just check out the right hand side of your browser window. The section titled I LIKE IT. I do. I do like it.

phagocytosis.

Today I was examining a perfectly rectangular cut on my elbow when I was hit with a huge wave of nostalgia. Why? Because that cut is an abrasion on the distal region of my cubital hinge. And how do I know that? Because of Hosa. I joined Hosa my senior year because I am a huge nerd. I love medicine. I also love competing. And part of Hosa is going to state competition in March.

Me, Hannah, and Kelsey joined Hosa together and decided to participate in Hosa Bowl. It is an event where you form a team of 4 and learn absolutely everything there is to know about medicine. I had a full binder of packets filled with every question you could imagine. I learned it all. And I felt so incredibly smart.

So after practicing with Mr. Jackman (the health science teacher at the high school) and his facilitator Laura every B-Day lunch for about two months, we were practically doctors. Our minds were filled with phagocytosis and phimosis, cerumen and scabies. We knew all about Florence Nightingale and Elizabeth Hobbs. We went to state competition in Layton and spent two days there.

We didn't win our competition, but we breezed through three rounds and won by a landslide in those. We lost to the team that won the entire thing. So we didn't feel so bad. It was the funnest thing I did all year.

During the competition I got to meet Nicole Darias. I love the girl to death. She is so smart and so witty. We had the privilege to have her on our team.
During competition, Kelsey and I also ran a 5K without even practicing for it.
AND we impressed SO many people.
AND we got super duper smart.
AND we went swimming and went to Cracker Barrel and did whatever we wanted for 2 days when we weren't competing.

So, back to my nostalgia. I thought of the day today and realized that some of the other kids from Pleasant Grove that were in Hosa are in ORLANDO FLORIDA right now at Nationals because they placed first in their event. They are probably in Harry Potter land right now as I speak.

And my other point is, if you are a junior or sophomore and have any interest in medicine, SIGN UP FOR HOSA. It was SO much fun. And if you win, which can be easy in a lot of the events, you could get the chance to go to Florida and just hang out for six days.

Nicole won 3rd place in state for her Nutritional Knowledge event.
Our Hosa bowl team placed 5th in state. Out of about 32 other teams, we were FIFTH!!

Just thought I'd share that because those were good times. I'd do it all over again. So maybe you should do it. If you can. And live my dream. Hah.

The fingerprints are on the papillary skin layer.
medical jokes. har har har.
